Read the leaflet carefully. Follow the instructions of your doctor.

Desloratadine has to be taken orally, once per day. You may take it with or without food. Do not crash or chew the pills, swallow your dose with water.

Clarinex Safety Information

In case of missing a dose of Clarinex, take it as soon as you remember to do so. Then go back to your regular schedule. Never take a double dose at once. Do not exceed the dosage. In case of overdose seek the medical care immediately!

Keep Clarinex safe from heat, moisture, and light. Store this product at temperatures between 2-25 degrees C (36-77 degrees F). Avoid excessive heat temperatures, and do not freeze. Keep this product out of the reach of children. Keep safe from pets.

Inform your health care provider if you take any other medications (even non-prescription!), herbal products or any supplements as they may interact with this therapy!

Make sure to inform your health care provider in case you have kidney disease; liver disease or hepatitis; asthma; an allergy to Desloratadine, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing. Talk to your health care specialist if you have plans for pregnancy.

Tell your health care provider if you use tobacco, caffeine, alcohol or illegal drugs. It may affect the therapy.

Talk to your health care provider before you start or stop any therapy.

Clarinex Side Effects

You should immediately contact a doctor in case you notice any signs of the following side effects: seizures; yellowing of skin or eyes; or fever.

The following side effects do not usually need to be reported immediately, but talk to your health care provider if they become continuous or bothersome: sore or dry throat; staggers; drowsiness or tiredness; muscle aches; dry mouth.

Visit your doctor regularly.

Children should be treated cautiously. Consult with your doctor on this matter.

Do not drive, operate machinery or perform any activities, requiring high level of attention, before you find out your reaction to Desloratadine. Sit up or stand slowly to avoid side effects, such as staggers or fainting, especially in the morning.

If you experience dry mouth, try to drink plenty of water and to chew sugarless gum in order to ease this feeling. You may also suck a hard candy.

Inform your health care provider in case you do not notice betterment in a few days.
