Benicar Safety Information

In case of missing a dose of Benicar, take it as soon as you remember to do so. However, if it's about time to take your next dose, skip the missed one and follow your regular schedule. If you take one dose per day and remembered about the missed dose on the next day, skip the missed dose. Never take a double dose at once. Do not exceed your dosage. In case of symptoms of overdose (staggers or fainting, rapid or too slow pulse) seek medical care immediately.

Keep Benicar safe from heat, moisture, and light, in tightly closed container. Store this product at room temperature. Keep this product out of the reach of children. Keep safe from pets.

Do not drive, operate machinery or perform any activities, requiring high level of attention, before you find out your reaction to this medicine. Benicar therapy, with or without other medicines, or alcohol usage may affect your ability to drive and to perform other tasks, requiring high level of attention.

Necessarily talk to your health care provider before starting or quitting any medicine while treating with Benicar. Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with it. Inform your doctor about all your health conditions, including allergies, liver or kidney problems, pregnancy, or breast-feeding, and inform about medicines you are taking.

You may require special doctor's attention in case you simultameously take with Benicar potassium-sparing diuretics (such as spironolactone, triamterene, or amiloride) or salt substitutes.

Consult with a doctor immediately in case of pregnancy. This drug has shown to cause fetal harm and newborn death if used during the last six months of pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, stop using this drug and immediately contact your doctor. This medication is detected to extract into the breast milk. Do not-breast-feed while going thru the therapy.

Benicar Side Effects

Check with your health care provider in case such side effects as upset stomach or stomach pain bother you too much.

Consult with a doctor immediately if you notice such side effects as chest pain; irregular heartbeat; joint pain, stiffness, or swelling; difficulty swallowing or breathing; muscle cramps, pain, or weakness; flu-like symptoms (such as headache, tiredness, muscle ache, or fever); swelling of your hands, legs, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tongue; or hoarseness. The allergy to this medicine is unlike. Seek medical attention right away, if you notice any signs of it (rash, itching, swelling, severe vertigo, or trouble breathing).

Do not share this medicine with others, for whom it is not prescribed. Provide refills on time if you need prolonged treatment.
