Does this med cause skin rash on face area? My husband has a bad red rash around his face. The Dr. told him to use lots lotion because of the dry spots. I do not think it is dry skin, I think it is because of the med his is taking.My question is can he change to another med because of the rash?

You and your husband should have told the doctor that you use Hydrochlorothiazide. The doctor can't give you proper advise if he does not know all information. This medicine can cause rash (as allergic reaction). The decision about changing the medicine should be made together with your doctor.

I started taking Hydrochlorothiazide 25mg tablets between Febraury-May 2009 and has loss about 10 lbs and my hips, and my legs bother me all the time. As I look at my body and my legs they seem to getting smaller and smaller. I wanted to know does this medication have anything to do with my bones destiny getting smaller and thats why my legs and hips bother me maybe it has to do with the calcium. My eating habits is the same and you would think by now I would have gained aleast some of my weight back. I feel things running through my legs. My age is 41 and people are looking at me and saying dang Diane you are lossing weight.

I am taking Avapro 150 for HBP and have been prescribed Hydrochlorothiazied 25 mg also. Should these be taken at different times of the day? I take the Avapro in AM and not sure if I should take the other at the same time or not.
