Lasix Information
Lasix is developed in order to help your body lose water and salt, by increasing the amount of urine passed. This medicine is a diuretic. Lasix may be prescribed for treating of the hypertension (high blood pressure). This medicine may also be used in order to decrease the swelling and water retention caused by different health states, e.g., such as heart, kidney or liver disease. However, this medicine is not a cure.
Lasix has to be taken orally, with a drink of water. You may take it with food or milk in order to prevent stomach irritation. You should keep in mind that this medicine will force you to urinate more often than you used to. Do not take it before the bedtime. Take your doses at regular intervals.
In case of missing a dose of Lasix, take it as soon as you remember to do so. However, if it's about time to take your next dose, skip the missed one and follow your regular schedule. Thus take the next dose when it's time for it. Never take a double dose at once. Do not exceed the dosage. In case of overdose seek the medical care immediately!
