Baclofen Information

Baclofen is developed in order to treat muscle spasms, caused by multiple sclerosis or other diseases. This medicine is a muscle relaxant. Baclofen may also be prescribed for treating other health states.

This medicine should be taken orally, with or without food.

Baclofen Safety Information

In case of missing a dose of Baclofen, take it as soon as you remember to do so. However, if it's about time to take your next dose, skip the missed one and follow your regular schedule. Thus take the next dose when it's time for it. Never take a double dose at once. Do not exceed the dosage. In case of overdose seek the medical care immediately!

Keep Baclofen safe from heat, moisture, and light. Store this product at room temperature below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). Keep this product out of the reach of children in a compactly closed container. Keep safe from pets.

Ask your health care specialist any questions you may have.

You should not be using this preparation in case you have an allergy to any of the components in Baclofen.

Make sure to inform your health care provider in case you have epilepsy or seizures, or have had a stroke; kidney problems or kidney failure; allergy to medicines, foods, or other substances.

Inform your health care provider if you take any other medications (even non-prescription!), herbal products, vitamins, minerals, or any supplements as they may interact with this therapy! Never start or stop any treatment without the approval of your health care provider!

You should also talk to your health care provider in case you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or if you are breast-feeding.

Baclofen Side Effects

This medicine may cause sleepiness, staggers, light-headedness, and blurred vision. Use this medicine cautiously. Do not drive, operate machinery or perform any activities, requiring high level of attention, before you find out your reaction to this medicine.

Side effects may become more intensive as a result of drinking alcohol. Avoid alcohol while going thru the therapy. Be careful with other medicines. Do not start or stop any therapy without having consulted with a doctor first.

Children under 12 years should not be treated with this medicine. It may be dangerous.

In case of pregnancy talk to your health care specialist as soon as possible. The extraction into the breast milk has not been evaluated. Do not take this medicine without having talked to your doctor. Do not stop the therapy without doctor’s recommendation. If you stop the treatment suddenly you may experience unpleasant side effects, such as seizures and hallucinations.

Inform your doctor if you have fatigue; headache; nausea; sleeplessness; constipation; staggers; sleepiness.

Contact your health care provider immediately in case of the following side effects: confusion; frequent urination; vomiting; blurred vision; increased weakness of arms or legs; seizures; slurred speech; sore throat. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you have an allergic reaction (closing of the throat; rash; tightness in chest; breathing discomfort; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; hives).

Inform your health care provider in case you do not notice betterment, or if your symptoms worsen.

Do not share your medicine with others, for whom it has not been prescribed.
