I am allergic to asprin and anything that asprin in it. If I were to have a heart attack what else can I take in place of asprin. (am allergic also to ibuprophen (sp?), naproxyn (sp?) and anaproxyn (sp?). (sp?) is for did I spell this right? I'm not very good at spelling.. :-)
For example, Nitroglycerin. It is a nitrate and works by widening blood vessels in the body, which allows more blood to flow more easily through them and reduces the work the heart has to do to pump blood. This reduces the oxygen need of the heart, and helps prevent chest pain.
You should also ask your doctor about possibility to take Lanoxin or Vasodilan in this case.
